I’m Poonam Mahawar, a fashion designer and founder of Kidroots. I graduated from the School of Fashion Technology, where I discovered my passion for sustainable fashion. For four years, I worked in women’s couture, learning the importance of comfort, detail, and design that feels good — not just looks good.

The idea for Kidroots didn’t start at a desk. It started at home — with my little niece. Watching her tug at seams and adjust outfits instead of enjoying the moment stayed with me.

She was my turning point.

Kidroots was born from that feeling — to create outfits that kids can actually live in, not just pose in.What started with one child has grown into a brand built for many little ones — and their comfort will always be at the heart of everything we create.
